The mean streets are crawling with angry thugs, but fear not - you're tough enough to take them on and clean these streets in style!

But here's the kicker:  you're sporting a nerdy pair of shades that can't take too many hits and one wrong move can shatter them, making it difficult to see and navigate your way to victory.

Are you ready?  Show them who's boss!

ABOUT:

This game was created in 4 days  (for Nexus Jam 3  (https://itch.io/jam/nexus-game-jam-iii), following the theme: "Street Fight". It is my first attempt at using 3D in Game Maker which took quite a lot of time to figure out so the end result is an unfinished mess (but it's still very much playable).

Interesting game! Especially for one made in 4 days! Music fits well, the graphics are really charming, these sort of doom-esque with a bit of a 16-bit era textuers is really pleasing imo, and its made well too.  The fighting itself is fun. The hand animations are really nice, makes you feel like you're doin some street fighter 2 moves, the feedback is good as well, but its a bit off.

It plays like a bullet hell game, which is cool, the glasses is a neat element as well, but being a limited ranged character in a bullet hell game where you can only take a few hits and then have to restart the whole 80 enemy level is a bit frustrating.

I don't really know what more could have been done with it, apart from removing (the number, or the entire) projectile based enemies, and like similar to Arkham, how each enemy gives you a bit of space for you and their buddies so that you can move about them and chain punches or whatever, instead of running straight into you.

But then again, these are mostly just my opinions which do not have a 4 day timer and for a Jam game, I liked it!

Hey, thanks for taking time to write out such a detailed feedback - much appreciated!

All fair points honestly... I think the combat as it is has potential but it's not quite there yet and I wished I had more time to realize it fully; Unfortunately,  out of 4 days spent on development, 3 where used just for learning basic 3D stuff in Game Maker, thus the whole gameplay was built in pretty much a single day.

Still, now I have some decent know-how on making retro 3D games. so keep an eye out in the future for when I release a more polished game in this style :)
